SEEKING THE TRUTH

Our Maori can be a gifted race
In areas they truly seek to find
For being whole within our soul
Can really show a peace of mind
Special people with gifted talents
Will surely find what they never had
As the goodness in them comes pouring out, and brings out happiness without being sad
This joy and love is what we need
To seek freedom within our heart
Cause the next generation is around the corner, for us to play a special part
Place your goals in front of yourself, cause as you move you'll soon find out
That working close within your Whanau, is showing your friends what we're all about
Part of us will always wish, a sign will come to help us through
But we don't know that someone help
To make our wishes all come true
So, what is right, is within your heart
As goodness comes right out of the blue
For troublesome people don't really know it
How brave it is to join this queue
Talented Maori have special abilities
To move in grace from place to place
Show our tamariki and youth we have
The year 2000 is which we face
We need to make some future changes and show our younger ones how to share
As they're the generation so close to us
For closeness makes the Maori care
Work in love and not in hate
Cause good things come from those who sow
Trust in one who sees it all for the creator sees all those who grow.
